Reimagining Harriet Tubman Square
Newark's beloved civic square is being transformed into a more vibrant, welcoming space for everyone. Phase 2 improvements include new playgrounds, an updated event plaza for performances and festivals, enhanced lighting and landscaping, and new public amenities — all while honoring the Square's place in Newark's history of Black liberation.
